Abstaining, ttc, seminal volume

I had a child from a previous relationship. I got married a year ago we got pregnant 2 twice almost back-to-back). 1=miscarriage, the other= D&C. Since the D&C its been almost 7-8 months (of actively ttc )that i havent been able to get pregnant ( minus the 3 months we waited for me to rocover from the procedure). My Obgyn suggested my Husband abstain for 3 days straight 2 days before i ovulate. Then, have sex 2 days before ovulation and 2 days after. Does this part sound pretty accurate?
