Would you be offended ?

So my bestfriend has being going on ages now how she's gonna get my son a couple designer clothes and I was telling her that's really nice but she doesn't have to do that a card is fine but she wouldn't drop it and literally kept bringing it up and the day before his birthday she was like about to get his bday outfit at kids outlet (designer store) soo come his birthday the following day open what she got him ...a pair of b&m socks (cost £1) and a packet of Huggies wipes (£1) I was ??? Shocked ?? Confused ??? Offended?? Me being polite was like "oh thank you can never have enough socks" well later on I tell her the wipes she got react bad with his sensitive skin so he can't use them so she took them back and then we are both now acting like she didn't hype up getting him nice clothes?? She later said "oh I thought we was just getting his nessities" meanwhile all my other friends got him lovely clothes and toys and it was just weird ?? But my bestfriend got him wipes and socks ?? Does she think he doesn't have wipes and socks?? He has plenty! Tf he has to have the special water ones with like nowt in them cost a bomb and my friend is by no means poor he makes more money than me sorry just needed to rant am I being over dramatic probably
