Should I switch?

Hey there! Okay so I’m 17 I started bc 5 months ago cuz acne, severe cramping during periods etc. I was on Lo lo estrin for 4 months - no periods at all!! Yay!! It was awesome except for the acne and other side effects.

So I switched to Yasmin for this month, it’s been great (no acne, no side effects) EXCEPT I GOT MY PERIOD for the first time in all these months AND THE CRAMPS ARE BACK AND WORSE!!! I took as much ibuprofen and acetaminophen as legally possible ;) but I am still dying.

1. Any suggestions for cramp control? I have homecoming dance tonight, and I just got queen last night and I’m trying not to be dead. :)

2. Should I switch back? The heavy cramps are the dealbreaker- it’s why I’m on birth control. I have no underlying medical conditions. Trying not to jump the gun.. should I wait and reevaluate on a few months?
