Postpartum depression ?

Question

Anyone lose friends due to postpartum depression ? My best friend told me today I’m not the same and she doesn’t want to spend time with me because I’m sad. But I’m not that sad I just don’t like to go out anymore and I want to spend time with my 5 month old baby boy. The only thing that changed was my outlook on partying and that it’s not for me anymore. She has a 9 month old baby girl so I thought she would be understanding of all people. That really hurt. I am not sure what to do. Thank you

That is a terrible thing to tell someone. Much less a friend.

That is really awful, I am so sorry. It sounds like she was not a good friend in the first place. I know what you mean about wanting to stay with your baby. If you are concerned about depression though, a great app that really helped me a few years ago was Better Help. It is all online and via web chat, so you don’t have to worry about drive time between naps or sitters. I am a big fan of it! 
Again though, I am so sorry that your friend hurt you like that. Hopefully, you can find some truer friends now that she is out of the picture.
