Relationship advice

I’m 24 and I am in love with a man that is a few years younger than my father. I know my family would never approve of him first because of the age gap (he’s 42) and second because he just isn’t someone I would typically go for concerning his appearance. I can’t help but feel the way I do when I’m around him. He’s incredibly smart and extremely funny. He’s not exactly where he should be in life, or he has a lot of things to work on like managing his money. Idk I need advice
