new guy?!

Question

sooo i’ve been talking to this guy recently, he’s in the army and is currently training in mississippi at the moment! i actually went to school with him, he graduated a year before me, and he actually use to live beside me! things have been going super great recently with him! we have our first date when he comes home in november! do any of you have a significant other in the military? or a significant other that are away a lot for work? how do you cope with them being gone for so long??

My husband it’s in the army too. We actually met in high school but didn’t start dating until my first year in college and at that time he was in Louisiana and I was in Florida. It was very hard since we were literally a few states apart but we made it work we had communication every single day when he wasn’t away at the field for training or couldn’t have his phone or sum. We always tried our best to see each other he would take leave for big holidays and both of us would drive down to our home town to see each other while visiting our families. We would also tried to met up halfway by both drive 6 hours to see each other and stayed at hotels when there was 4 days weekend. It takes a lot but now we’re married and happier than ever and we have a beautiful baby boy cat name pumpkin 😂💛
