Stomach cramps - is this normal? 😩

Hi all..
My little one is 4 weeks old. Pushing to fart makes him cry/scream/kicking his legs..
Does anyone els experienced this?
What to do? He is on gripe water

When my little one has troubles I usually will put him on his back and push his legs up to his chest (like a squatting position) and back down repeatedly, it usually helps and it makes him happy. 
I did some research though and sometimes babies sphincters dont release when they're trying to go which results in a baby grunting, pushing, and feeling uncomfortable, its normal and it's just their bodies learning how to function properly and that's what my little one has done a few times and I always do the leg thing described above and it works.

Does he seem in pain, or more just confused? You can try helping by burping more, and bicycling his legs. But if he seems to be in pain, see his doctor.
