Any advice on what to expect?

I'm 32 weeks pregnant and they want me to get a non stress test done twice a week till I give birth, what should I expect and currently getting ultrasounds done every two weeks just want my baby to get better according to my dr he is measuring 2 weeks behind and my belly is so little this time around.

So for the NST they will have you lay down on your left side & they will place sensors on your belly, they will measure the baby’s movement & heart rate, basically they want to see normal rise & fall of the heart rate during & after movement, my daughter was ALWAYS asleep @ the time I had them scheduled & so they would have me drink cold water or juice & sometimes would have to use this buzzer thing on my belly to wake her up, I found that if I had chocolate milk right before going in that that seemed to help make her more perky, in our case my daughter was growing fine but I was “high risk” due to my age (38) & an autoimmune disease that I have that I take immunosuppressive medication for, the high risk clinic I was being seen at automatically does NST’s once a week in the last 2 months of pregnancy, once we had trouble getting a good read (she was super sleepy that day 🤷‍♀️) & I had to come back a couple of days later to try again, I think it usually took around 30 minutes if I’m remembering correctly (my daughter is 2.5 years old now) Good luck, I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes ok & you have a safe delivery of your little one!

A NST they just hook you up to a monitor and measure babys heart rate and see if you are having contractions,  etc. You just sit there. Sometimes if baby won't move a lot they give you something to drink. 
Ive had them 2 out of 4 pregnancies (so far,  not on number 4 lol)  and it's really easy and nothing to worry about. It's the same moniter they use while you are in labor so you will already be used to it when you get there lol!
