Newborn weight gain

My son is now 2 weeks old. He's birth weight was 2.75kgs. He dropped down to 2.55kgs. And the lactation consultant assured me it's normal. I did post before on this. So at he's doctor appointment on the 13th he weighed 2.95kgs and I was happy because it assured me that he was been breast fed enough to be gaining weight.. although at times I just look at him and feel depressed wondering when will I be able to see him start plump up.. some of my family look at him and comment on how skinny he is and it just makes me sad. I was induced at 39 weeks because I was told he was small. I just wish there was something more I could do to make h gain weight faster. How long was it before your LO started looking plump? ..
