37 weeks... Mucus plug

What I thought could be a small piece of my mucus plug. Then I wiped this morning again and got

What could be another small piece. I immediately started having period like cramps after I wiped. (same thing happened with my first pregnancy when I lost my mucus plug instantly started having contractions) ladies please I need a little help
