A good age gap?

Question

What's a good age gap for kids? Our first is 4 months old. We'd like to have 3 or 4 children. Our plan was to try next year and baby #2 would be born the year out son turns 2. So many people are asking us why we dont already have another because they're kids are so close and they love it. My hubby isn't keen on that though. We have a large age gap between us and we dont have too much time either so there's that. Whaddya think?

I’m pregnant with my second and my little one will be 2.5 when baby is here. We’ve been able to make the most of and soak up his first year and a little bit more. He’s at an age where he doesn’t fully understand but I think it’ll be a perfect age has he will grasp he’s got a sibling. He’s already kissing my tummy and saying ‘baby, be nice’ 💛

I always felt 3 years is a good age gap so you don’t have to change two sets of diapers. My children are roughly 3 years apart and it’s a great age gap. But whatever works for you and your family, hon!

My 1st and 2nd are 3 yrs apart and it was great up until 6/9. The gap is showing alot more now and I wish they were closer in age. My 2nd and 3rd are 4 yrs apart and it's too much in my opinion. I think 1 to 2 years apart would be best. It would be more work when they are younger but I think it would work out better as they age.

My kids are all about 18 months apart. It’s a lot of work but I love the gap. But it really is your family preference. I know tigers who have a 4yr gap and like it that way. It may be what we like because that is what we have. I just like still being in the diaper phase for all at the same time. Plus I think it will be easier for us to homeschool with their ages so close.

Depends on finances honestly and how risky each pregnancy is. Wanna give yourself time to fully heal and at least get the last kid on his/her way to potty training, walking and speaking before gearing up for another.

From the 1st kid to the 3rd kid there is a 3 year gap. I like it really close like this and if things worked out the way I wanted, it would be even closer. Also my husband works from home and I want to capitalize on that while he’s still in this job.

I’m waiting until my daughter is 2 years & 9 months to stop taking my birth control. 😊 I think 3 years is perfect. If it happens before then, then it happens 🤷🏽‍♀️

I have two girls with a year between them and it’s perfect. They are 16 and 17 and best friends. I have other children with bigger gaps and they are not close.

My daughter is about to be 2 on the 1st and I just found out I’m pregnant with baby number 2 so they will be 2.5 years apart
