Having sex on the first night??

I been talking to this guy I been dating online for almost a month and next week is when I go see him. I really like him but he has been showing some minor signs of him wanting sex, but not In a constant way or just plain sexual. I never had sex on the first night with anybody but the way guys acting now I really do not want to waste my time. Wasted time is something that you don't get back. I only wanna have sex just to see is it more than sex that he wants or just sex period. He told me he's gonna prove it that he doesn't want me for just sex. I'm not labeling him as every other guy but even if you waited months to have sex with someone, what if you wasted your time? he said he would not see me different but I didn't tell him I wanted sex on the first night but now a days you can't tell what a guy wants from you until its after you laid down with him. Am I wrong for trying to prevent wasted time? I just wanna save myself from waiting months, then having sex, and he ups and leave. It use to be right to wait a month or two for sex but after sex regardless of how long you waited guys still will act differently. I never had sex on the first night ever. a proportion of guys these days let you find out after sex you wasted your time no matter how long you waited, when you could have already been gone. Congratulations to the women who are married or engaged!! Because you have a man thats in a different generation. It's sad when there is a trend of idiot men making it bad for the good men.
