Cribs?

Question

I know it's extremely early to be thinking about cribs now, but I came across this email and loved the gray crib! What do you guys think?

I see it as being appropriate for either a baby boy or girl. I love pink and gray together. But I also think the gray with the different color blues and orange looks great too!

Also, this way baby #2 will be able to use the same crib even if it's a different sex from this baby. I know sometimes cribs convert into toddler and beyond beds. And I don't think the gray is only a color for a baby, so if the crib converts, my little one can still use the bed when he/she gets older.

Too funny because I already decided I'm going with a grey crib!! There's a furniture store near me that has them too and I love the style. It's totally me! And it's another neutral that will go with anything and will grow easily from baby to toddler, to older kid, no matter the gender.

It's beautiful!  Grey is lovely-they didn't have that option 3 years ago with my first, so she has a white crib. 
I thought the same thing about the conversion option to a toddler bed, but she transitioned straight from a crib to a "big girl twin bed".  The crib has been in our storage closet for the past 6 months, I sobbed as we tucked it away because I had hoped we would have another little one to fill it!  What a blessing the crib will get another little one to cradle. 
l love Pottery Barn kids!  I ordered my daughter a crib/bedding set with her full name embroidered on the blanket and her first name on the pillow.  At birth and at each month in her "month day" I took a photo with her in front of the quilt and pillow with a sticker that indicated what month she was (back then they only had them on Etsy, but I've seen them at hallmark recently).
How beautiful! Nursery decorating is so fun!

IKEA have a very similar crib in the same grey with three drawers below it. We are considering it as we had already decided on Grellow for the nursery colours, but I can't decide on the grey crib or all white furniture.

Thanks ladies! And what a great idea to do for the "month day" Carol! I would love to do something like that every month. So happy that you have another miracle to put in your white crib now!

I love the color of this crib, and I def won't be making a final decision anytime soon, but I'm wondering if this will be out of style in 3-4 years? I usually do very traditional or neutral colors or style for everything becaus things go out of style so quickly, and I really don't like to stand out. So it's very unlike me that I would be drawn to this color!

One thing in retrospect I wish I would have invested in was a teething Gaurd- I didn't think I needed it and there are some bite marks 😉 that always remind me of a sweet time in my daughter's life.  I found there are clear ones to apply or cloth ones like in this photo-
