How does PCOS effect you?

Question

I’m overall curious about what you ladies go through and what you experience with PCOS. This has been my #1 fear since TTC. I never really knew much about PCOS/Endometriosis, or really any infertility issues til TTC. 
Do you get a period every month? Do you ovulate every month? Is it painful? How did you find out? What symptoms did you have?

Answer

I have clinically diagnosed PCOS and Endometriosis. 
I have periods every 24-28 days. I ovulate every month that i track with opks. 
Ovulation is just extremely painful, my periods are horrific.
Being TTC with both is really difficult because of the inflammation in my body and the fact that with PCOS my progesterone levels are lower than normal and my follicular phase is pretty short make it almost impossible to have a mature egg fertilized or for it to stick. 🙄👎🏼 
My fertility specialist said my best bet is IVF or a surrogate if i want a good chance but we’re still doing the old fashioned way with lots of faith in gods plan

I didn't know i had PCOS until about six months ago when I didn't get my period. I thought I was pregnant but I wasn't. I don't ovulate every month on my own and need clomid. There's a PCOS support group on here too.
