So all my mamas out there, we are throwing our little dude a bday party tomorrow as he is turning 2. His first bday was completely ruined and no party happened. Now I’ve bought all decorations, cake drinks and food. My MIL bought a piñata. Mind you she asked several times if I wanted one. I said no as there will only be 2 children. My son and her kids. (Big age difference between DH & his siblings. So when I see the piñata she said well my kids wanted it. DH says I can’t get mad or say anything. Then after I decorate our home her son asks where’s the cupcakes. I said I didn’t buy any & MIL says they’re at the house because he wanted cupcakes for his party.

My question is would you be upset if your MIL didn’t listen to what you asked for. It’s a small bday. Maybe 15 people if even 3 of which are kids.

The cake is enough to feed double that so we will more than likely have left overs.

She bought her grandson gifts but also her children like it’s all their birthday party.

I’m pissed and when I vented to my husband he said to shut up, they can give him material things we can’t and if I say anything they won’t buy him nice things anymore.

Somebody come slap me if I’m wrong for being upset.
