38 weekers - how are you doing??

Question

Had my check up with OB today and everything is still the same! I’m 38+1 today. Baby is super low and engaged in pelvis (has been for a month+) but cervix is still firm and high up, no effacement, dilation, etc. 
Cue the disappointment 😩😩 
Came home and immediately made myself some spicy noodle stir fry hoping it’d help. Haven’t been having “real” contractions at all, just lots of Braxton Hicks. I had to be induced at this time 4 years ago with my daughter due to pre eclampsia and this baby is looking to be super content to stay in. I know those internal checks really don’t mean much because people can be dilated and effaced for a long time with no progression, but dang..they sure do get your hopes up. 
How is everyone else doing that’s around 38 weeks??

I have my 38 week check tomorrow. I was 1/2 cm dilated and 50% effaced at 36. So much sciatica pain, cramps, and completely exhausted most of the time. Still have a 3 year old to take care of though. She was born at 37.5 weeks. I was hoping this one would be early too but she seems pretty content in there. I’m so ready to be done being pregnant. Every day I feel like I’ll go into labor and every day I’m disappointed.

I’m 38 +1 today, I have my 38 week checkup tomorrow. I’ve noticed baby is incredibly low! Like, I used to feel bum and feet about 3 inches above my belly button and now he is right at my belly button. Feet are a lot lower too and it seems like he is kicking in the same spot every time. Not really changing positions at all. Hoping for good news tomorrow!!!

I’m 38+2 and had a doctors appointment today as well! I’m 1cm dilated. I have an induction scheduled for Sunday night at 39+1! Baby is measuring big and my pelvis is small, so we’re concerned she may get stuck if I let her keep growing. So excited!

Im 38+1 today and had my check up. Im 60% effaced but no dilation. I've been going to my chiropractor regularly, exercising, drinking red rasp tea, and EPO. Baby boy is moving around like crazy and I'm encouraging him to break through the water😂. He's super low and I'm super tired. My water broke with my first at 40 weeks and I still had to have an emergency C section. Im going for a VBAC so doctors will let me go until 41 weeks on my own 😩. Why is this part so long?

38w,1d here too! I have my check up at 6:30, but don't plan to have my cervix checked. I am not having any contractions or anything so it isn't really necessary.
I feel like the only pregnant women in the world who is not in a hurry to have the baby! I love him and want to hold him, but it is going to be a lot of work and I will be in just as much pain and discomfort as I am now for weeks after birth. If he wants to chill a few more weeks I am totally fine with that.

I’m 38 weeks and 3 days today and so miserable and on top of it all I had to put my dog to sleep today. I don’t know how much more I can take. I’ve been having tons of contractions that I went to L&D the other night all to be told I’m still 1cm and 50% effaced still. I have my check up tomorrow so it should be interesting to see what the dr says. I want her to come on her own when she’s ready. They consider me to be high risk because I’m 37 and have GD and but my BP is always perfect and all of my tests have come back fine. Idk we shall see

I'm also 38+1! I'm sorry you aren't dilated yet. 😣 It's a bummer, but like you said it doesn't mean much! I wouldn't worry. As for me, just lots of heartburn, pelvic pain, and sciatic pain. Trying to motivate myself to deep-clean my apartment! I know I won't want to clean after baby is here and my husband would be more than willing to while he's off work with me and baby, but I want him to be able to spend time with us! Hoping I can push myself to clean today 😬

38 tomorrow and I have BH all the time. 
Was dilated to a 2 weeks ago so I’m hoping it’s more (even though it’s no indication of when labor starts) 
It’s less work for when labor starts, so bring on the dilation! 
My first was born at 37 soooo I’m definitely waiting impatiently 😂
