Clomid help 🆘

My doctor said only have intercourse select days on clomid.. 14,16&18 but does it really matter!? She told me this before to even conceive but I normally ovulate closer to cd12. Or was she just trying to help.. i did ask if it’d change my cycle and she said it’s possible.. if we’re caught up in a moment to BD a day other than that can it cause bad things!?
