ASC-US cells are abnormal cells found on your pap smear. They indicate that there are abnormal cells growing on your cervix but without further testing doesn't mean much. Depending on your age and whether or not this is your first time having an abnormal pap smear, your Dr will decide if they should do a biopsy or wait and see if they cells resolve on their own. Hope this calms your nerves a little.

If they won’t do a biopsy, did they at least set you up for a pap in 6 months? If you’re using a family medicine dr you may want to see a gynecologist that can give you answers.
