Chores for a 9 year old

So my 9 (just turned 9)old is very smart and is a good kid but lately idk we’ve been struggling. She’s messy,lazy, little attitude. She recently brought home an F on a test but the teacher gave her a chance to fix it. I was so disappointed in that! First bad grade ever 😭

I know this is only the beginning of some disappointments but I was sad. I asked her why she struggled and she just said idk I just did so we fixed it. I then grounded her from using iPads or being on YouTube. But how long should I ground her for ???

I also feel like she needs to be more responsible and do chores or do her own things. Example I usually get her school clothes ready for her everyday but I make her get her socks shoes and accessories ready but I always have to remind her. Also I do her hair in the morning is this still ok? I’m worried I baby her too much!? I’m not sure can any moms with the same age kids give me ideas? Please!
