Zoloft?

Has anyone taken Zoloft? If so how long did it take for it to start working? Did you have any side affects?

Hi!! So i’m 15 ( yes I am very young lol ) and i’ve been taking zoloft for almost a year now. I take it each morning before school and I have noticed a big difference in my anxiety and being more at ease but not as much for depression! My doctor says it’s supposed to target depression more but for me it mostly helps with my anxiety. My dad tried it, and did not like it but it’s been working for me. I’m pretty young so I think it really depends but it’s worth a try. Hope this help :)

I was on Zoloft and it wasn’t good for me
Made me feel numb
I literally couldn’t feel my heartbeat
I would have scary vivid dreams that I couldn’t tell apart from reality
Gave me spasms in my legs
Clinched jaw
Low libido 
Anxious all the time
Made me emotional unfit
If someone was joyous I couldn’t smile
If some was sad I couldn’t cry
My SO would often say “your light is dim honey”
Meaning I was like a walking zombie!
Not a fan of Zoloft.

My husband tried it for 2 days and it made him so so so sick. He stopped immediately but we’re trying an alternative. 
100% agree it’s different for everyone and you won’t know until you try. I’m so pro-mental health medication, it can just be a little tricky when you start, but don’t give up if the first one doesn’t work. It’s so so SO worth it. (10 years medicating major depressive disorder and bipolar )

I took it for about 6 months. I definitely think it helped but it made my sex drive so low. Other than that I had no other side effects.

I do! The first week is rough, I was in such a fog but it went away after about a week. I felt a bit better within 2-3 days but it takes a while to build up to the full effect

I took it for a couple days and I stopped taking it right away because I didn't like the way my body felt but everyone has a different reaction
