Is this normal? I’m worried..

My son just turned 6 months old. I have been noticing him flailing his right arm excessively up and down and hitting himself in the chest and face like he can’t control it. Does anyone else’s 6 month old do this? He’s hit all his milestones thus far but it does worry me.

My son does the same thing. It's when he is really worked up. Either super excited or angry about me taking too long with a bottle or something lol. 
Every baby I've ever known has done the same so I havent ever thought twice about it. It seems they are still just learning.

Yes! She is learning to shake! Comes in handy when they want to shake a rattle or throw something to see what's in it or what it does. It's totally normal for this age.

Mine does!! I was worried it was just the right but then his left started so I got over it.

Yep, mine like to hit me while I’m nursing them 😩😂
Yesterday I gave them a measuring cup while I was cooking dinner and they banged them for the whole 30 minutes. Totally normal!

Yes mine too and it worried me as it was when he was sleepy and involuntary just up and down the one arm, glad other people have it too!

Mine does too, although she hasn’t hit herself yet. She’ll do it when she’s holding things like food.
