I’ve had 6 unmedicated births and am having my 7th unmedicated birth in March. I will never get an epidural.

3 births all natural. 
The immense power, elation and relief you feel straight after you have given birth with all of your natural hormones is amazing! 
Having my fourth and definitely wouldn't have one. 
Epidurals increase the chances of further interventions. It's can slow your labour, mean you need assistance with a vacuum or forceps or CS. 
If you want to birth without one,  get some birth education to give yourself some great natural strategies to cope with the marathon of labour.
Patterned breathing, visualisation, use of water (shower/bath), trigger point massage, TENS machine,  sterile water injections.... There are heaps to try before heading down the path of epidural x

I had one. It failed at 8cm when my son crushed a nerve, and I then had back labor. It worked great up until then, but that was the worst pain I’ve felt in my life. Once we got him to move (about 1.5-2 hours), my epidural worked again, and I pushed with absolutely no pain, but I could feel pressure. 
I’m pregnant again, and I’m opting to get an epidural again... probably.

I had an epidural after three days of labor pains. Pains were 5-10 mins apart, Saturday morning, was sent home as nothing was progressing, went back a second time, they gave me something, it helped the pain enough so I could sleep. Come Monday morning I went to L & D, spent the day watching everyone else be admitted, was finally admitted in the late afternoon. I planned to try without, but at this point I said have it ready for me. I think it was 5 when I received the epidural, I slept until 1030 or 11, woke up fully dilated. Pushed for maybe 20 mins and my little guy was here.

I got one at 3 cm and didn’t feel a thing but slight pressure the rest of my labor. I’ll definitely be getting one again

it worked got it at 8cm! numbed me almost instantly and im happy i got it when i did like 45 mins later i was being wheeled back for an emergency c section

I labored for as long as i could without it, but i had severe back labor and opted for the epidural. Honestly it was the best decision i ever made. I labored painless for about 8 hours and then i pushed my girl out in 6 minutes. Be open minded. If you are able to manage your pain well without it then go unmedicated, but if you are having difficulties with managing your pain there is nothing wrong with getting an epidural. Once it was taken out it wore off quickly and i was able to get up and take a shower within 2 hours of my daughter being born. The first hr was skin to skin anyways so i didnt mind laying there!
