Measles? Please share your experience! Worried momma

So my daughter is 6.5 months old. Last week she got her routine shots and flu shot. She also got her measles shot because we told the doctor we were going to Italy this week and she explained there are measles outbreaks in Europe. She said she could get a rash and fever.

She had a couple low fevers over the weekend and I haven’t noticed one since. She is now developing the rash on her legs and feet. She also has a really runny nose but I’m thinking the runny nose could be from being in the plane for 14 hours total. My husband and I are congested too.

But I’m so worried. I want to call my pediatrician but I can’t right now because they aren’t open (from the time change). So I’m waiting until they are open and calling to ask them about her reaction to double check it’s normal.

I’m just so worried that it may be the actual measles because of the runny nose. The rash isn’t blotchy, just small dots here and there. She’s extremely fussy but we are in our first day of jet lag and she’s in a new place and surrounded by new people (first time meeting my husbands family who lives here). I know this is probably just the normal reaction the doctor explained she could get but I can’t help but be worried!

Has anyone ever had a child with measles? Or a child who experienced a reaction to measles? Please share your experience!
