Breastfed with my first, nipple pain pregnant with #2

So I know when you’re pregnant you’re obviously going to experience tenderness in your breasts and nipples. For the past few weeks I’ve had extreme nipple pain. It feels like a baby has chewed on them! (Like I said, I breasted with my first so I know the feeling!) I have been lactating & my nipples are super red. I’ve been putting lanolin on them and avoiding soap around that area but it doesn’t seem to help 😣

I’m going to the doc next week so I will for sure have her look at them just in case. My sister is a nurse and mentioned that it could be a yeast infection 🙃

Is it normal to have this kind of pain with #2? Has anyone else experienced this or had a yeast infection on their nipples? What did you do for relief?
