Crib or no crib?

Hey y’all. So my sister is going to be living with us until feb. We plan on having baby in our room for the first 4-6 months anyways so I’m wondering if we should just keep baby to sleep in pack n play in our room until my sister moves out and we set up the crib? (My sisters room will be baby’s room). We have the master bedroom so our room is big enough to put crib in but should we just wait? TIA for any advice!🙂

I have a mini crib in my room I personally just don’t like pack n plays so we have a mini in the master and then her full crib built in her bedroom for when she switches around 6 months.

My advice from my first daughter is to use the crib if you have room. I say this because mine got so used to her pack n play that she literally NEVER was able to transition to her crib. This baby will sleep in a cosleeper cot at night so she is close by for feedings. But I am definitly putting her  in her crib during for naps the day so that she can get used to it!

I say the crib right away, that way when you move the baby to the room your sister will be in, the baby will be able to sleep comfortably without such a drastic change in bedrooms because he/she will be used to the crib.

We have 2 bedrooms but we're keeping the 2nd as a guest room. We're using a pack and play in our room.

Our master is big enough for a crib, but we would have to take it apart to get it to fit through the doorway once it’s time to move to the nursery. We’re going to start baby in a bassinet in our room, which we’ll either swap out for a pack n play or move her to the nursery once she’s bigger.

I have a big masters and we set the baby crib up next to our bed.  We’ll probably move her to her room around 6-8 months.  I’m just a nervous wreck to have her alone in a room over night in fear that I won’t hear her. 🤦🏾‍♀️
