Self pay here. $12500 for IVF $4000 for medication and $2500 for PGS. So around $19000 for one cycle of IVF.

We pay about 6k/year for insurance from my job, and the fertility benefits are pretty generous. The only thing that hasn’t been covered was PGS testing, but we’re getting that reimbursed from my husband’s job’s fertility reimbursement plan. The prices change dramatically depending on where you are and what your insurance covers. I'm in Montreal and all my meds are covered 100% by insurance and the procedure is subsidized by the province. All in all, including storage it cost us about 8500$ CAD.

Mine is covered by insurance so I’m not sure but my friend paid 12k in a smaller city for hers. It seems to cost more in bigger cities. There are clinics that have payment plans, discount plans, and guarantee plans (you pay one price and if you don’t get pregnant after X number of rounds, you get your money back). There are definitely options!

In Australia we have Medicare (health coverage for everybody paid through taxes). Medicare provides a rebate on health services although most immediate health issues are treated with no upfront cost. Our clinic charges a fee and we receive about half back from Medicare, so we are out of pocket around $4500 per cycle including a fresh transfer.

It's highly dependent on your insurance coverage and can even vary by clinic.  For everything, testing, meds, cycles, frozen transfer, freezing, pgs, etc., we paid about $11,000 out of pocket.
