Long Birth story 😬

This is my Birth Story

On October 31 at 1:30am I woke up having Contractions I didn’t pay to much attention because on the past two weeks I have had some but ended up going away . The Contractions started to get stronger and they were 5 minutes apart at 3:30am decide to wake up my husband and told him I think it’s time. While he was getting ready I called my brother to watch my other kids . We arrived at the Hospitals at 4:30am they didn’t put me on a regular room in L&D I was in a big room with little rooms on both sides . I changed and they plugged me to monitor my contractions at this point they still don’t check my cervix . They wanted to make sure first my contractions were real nurse tells me they had to wait 2 hours to check my cervix and once they checked it they would call my midwife and let her know my progress and ask her if I should be admitted. At 6:40am they checked me I was 3cm dilated they asked me how I was feeling I told her I feel more pain in every contraction, she said she will let my midwife know and see what she wanted to do 5 minutes later nurse come back and tells me midwife is on her way to check me . She arrived around 8am cheeks me still 3 cm and tells me well I guess we are having a baby today 😱😱😱 .

Si she admitted me and got me a private room on L&D . She tells me she will be back at 12 due to having a schedule c-cection with another mommy to be.and if I had a feeling to push or felt pressure to let my nurse know and she would call her and would arrived in 10 minute to deliver my baby. Well in my mind I was like how will the baby wait and also me controlling my self not to push 😒🤔🤔. Nurse started my IV I asked for some pain medicine because the contractions were more painful and intense. At 11 am nurse comes in and checks my cervix and Got to a 6cm . At 11:30 am my midwife come in to check my cervix and still in between 6and 7cm and tells me once she finished her c-cection she would come back and brake my water . I ask again my nurse for some pain medicine. At 1 pm my nurse comes in and tells me my midwife at to leave to her office but would be back and that she wanted me to start on Pitocin to get my contractions more close together and in my mind I told my self oh my God this is going to feel more painful 😣. She asked me if I wanted an epidural tbh I was scared to get it because I have heard all type of stories. I asked my nurse some questions about it and she recommended it to me so I went for it . It was not bad at all when the put it on my back my pain went completely away I was numb and felt so good. At 3pm my nurse comes in and asked me if I was feeling some pressure I was no I do not and she was like the reason I am asking you is because on the monitor is showing different and that she was going to check my Cervix I was at 8cm already my midwife comes in to brake my water and also checks me again and was at 8cm she tells me is going back to the office and is going to finish with her appointments scheduled. At 4:15pm I had a feeling that I needed to touch myself down there because how in the world I was going to know when to push if I didn’t feel anything at all . Once I touched my self I could feel baby’s head 🙊 I called my nurse and let her know I thought I was feeling some pressure she checks me and says you are complete let me call your midwife to come back. I was like she better come really fast because I don’t know how long I am going to be able to hold him in . At 4:25 my midwife arrived seats in front of me and tells me to grab on my legs so I do that and she was like oh wow 😮 he is there already and tells my nurse to call other nurses. She tells me to start pushing on the firs push baby’s head is out and he is crying 😭 she tells me to push again so I did and he was out 🥺🥺🥺 the best feeling ever. In all my 4 pregnancies this was the smoothest one . I am happy and grateful with God because everything went so well . This is my last baby because we are done . 💖💖💖
