Can you make any progress in dilation in a day?

I’ve been stuck at 2/ 2 1/2 
For a weeks now. I went in to L&D for high blood pressure yesterday they checked me and still at the same 2cm 
I’m 37 weeks +3 and they said they’ll wait to induce me till I’m 39 weeks. 
But today I’ve been having a lot of Braxton Hicks that are becoming stronger some are more painful than others but they’re coming every 10 min or so. I’m not gonna go in yet till they become more intense but I’m scared to go in and get sent back home cuse Ill still be the same cm. Anybody have improved in a day?

If you are actually in labor, your cervix will change. Otherwise it's not labor.

Yeah! With my 1st I wasnt even dilated in the morning, a bit effaced with a soft cervix, and delivered 24 hours later. It can all happen very fast!

I was 2cm the morning I delivered.  So from 10am to 10pm I went from 2 to 10.

I was never more than 1-2 with either of my first pregnancies when I went to into labor.  So yes, it can all happen fast.  I was usually like 1 by 36/37 and 2 by 39.  First baby was 1 day early, 2nd 1 week.

Can you make any progress in dilation in a day?
