Obgyn clomid trigger shot or up dose

Did anyone's regular Obgyn do trigger shots for them with clomid. October was my 2nd round of 50 mg clomid but she hasn't tested anything or been too involved compared to friends stories. Im due for period in 3 days and have been making myself wait to take pregnancy test until I miss it. The first month of taking it I was given progesterone to kick start period and then after first round of clomid I had a period on my own which is promising. This month I didn't get any strong readings on ovulation test but they were some changes/surges. If I get a period this month I'm wondering if I should ask for trigger shot or upping the clomid doses.
