BV and no symptoms??

Question

I went to L&D for cramps and it turns out I have BV. I don’t have any other symptoms other than the test they ran had high bacteria (and the cramping). I’m over 20 weeks, has anyone else had this? They gave me something to take but what can I do to prevent this?

I had back to back bv and yeast infections with my first pregnancy. To prevent future infections start a daily probiotic. Drink plenty of water. Watch your sugar intake. Wear cotton undies and try not to wear tight pants all the time. Sperm, lubes and lubes on condoms can all throw off ph balance. Don’t use soaps or bubble baths down there and never ever douche. If I feel my ph is off I wash myself with baking soda.

I had the same prob, so my dr gave me the 7 day pill. But after u get a yeast infection. Unfortunately mines came back to back but my dr didn't give me a daily probiotic. She gave me the same 7 day pill again

It’s a PH imbalance. Wear only 100% cotton underwear (it’s breathable) no thongs, don’t wear excessively tight clothing or use scented soaps (use only PH balanced washes that are vagina specific) to help avoid it in the future. 
Sometimes not much you can do, it’s just more common in some people than others. I used to get an infection every few months even being diligent with my hygeine, my diet sucked would throw off my PH it was horrible.
