At what point do you consider your period over?

My period lasts about 6-7 days. The first couple days are heavy then lighten up but then I have brown/pinkish spotting (only notice when I wipe) for about 2 days. When does a period technically end?

Well brownish blood is generally a sign your period is ending. As it’s older blood I believe. 
 
For me, I record when its stopped completely, so no spotting or anything. 
But i think generally as long as you record it the same each month, that’s the important thing so you know what to expect from the predictions.

Once the brown spotting is light enough for me to move to a panty liner instead of a full pad, I just log it as “spotting.” Also once all my other symptoms have gone... sometimes I’m just spotting lightly but still having cramps :/ so I still consider that my period then.
