Hardening or bloat?

How do you tell the difference between your stomach hardening or bloat? I am around 15 weeks and my stomach is feeling hard about halfway up to my belly button. The rest is firm but not as firm. I just really want that bump!

Here is where your uterus should be by those weeks. If you feel a hardness ending there, that’s your “bump”.

Mine is hard towards the end of the day but it’s still kind of squishy but it’s mostly baby not so much bloat anymore. I’m 21 weeks. It’s different for everyone!

I think it depends for each person. I'm 24 weeks 4 days (with my 5th). My stomach was never "hard". Its always felt squishy.

The hardening is your uterus. If you are 15 weeks, your uterus should be somewhere between your bellybutton and pubic bone. You can usually feel where it ends, especially if you are laying down. The further along you get, the more your uterus  will extend upward, and your belly will “harden” along with it. Granted, if you carry extra weight on your abdomen, it will remain a little squishy over your bump, bc it’s a layer of fat over your uterus.
