Taking a break?

Question

My boyfriend said he needed some space and wanted a break for a few days. I'm destroyed and can't stop crying. Don't know what to do anymore. He said the last thing he wants is to break up and I'm trying to believe him. But right now I feel lost. Of course I'm respecting his wishes and we aren't going to see each other for about a week.

Oh, I’m sorry. I know it must feel like the end of the world but trust me when I say it isn’t. If he says he doesn’t want to break up, and he’s a trustworthy person, then maybe he just needs to clear his head a little. My brother and his gf had to take a break bc they had been in each other’s back pockets for awhile, so they just kinda got into a rut of sorts. Standing back can help you figure out what you have together,   what you might need from each other that you’re not getting etc. It can actually be a really good thing because you can come back from it so much stronger. Don’t see this as a bad thing, but rather a good thing. Take a deep breath, relax, and trust that things will work out for the best, my friend.
