Snoo sleeper?

It’s the smart bassinet that’s automatically rocks and plays white noise according to baby’s crying. Comes at a price tag of $1200, but customer reps says on Black Friday they’re having a 35% off sale dropping it to around $800. I was wondering if anyone plans on buying it, or if they have it and can provide advice on whether it’s worth the money?

I have never used it but had a friend that rented one for a couple months because they grow out of them super fast and she had a horrible time teaching baby to transition from it and to soothing himself. It’s kind of an unhealthy sleep crutch and not to mention the price I don’t think it’s worth it at all. A bassinet is a cheaper better option in my opinion.

I have a Snoo. It’s worth it’s weight in GOLD. I would 100% recommend it with no hesitation. Here are some specifics that I loved: 1) you don’t have to rock the baby back to sleep. They’re not kidding when they say 5-second swaddle. Pop on boob, feed, pop back in snoo, voila go back to sleep. It was rare she ‘beat the snoo’ crying and I had to get her and soothe her. 2) lowers the risk of SIDs. There was a new article recently that talks about all the snoo use and 0 deaths. Love this. 3) L-O-V-E their customer service and support. Seriously they are amazing. Cannot say enough. 4) Weaning her was SUPER easy. She slept through the night from 4 months (almost had it at 2.5 months but had a regression for awhile) and the first night in the crib she slept great. 
I have also rented. I wouldn’t recommend renting over purchasing, but I would rent rather than going without. The rental was smooth and easy and hassle free. There is a cleaning fee, and a monthly cost, and a deposit. Snoo is great for 6 months but most critical for the first three. If you catch it at a sale and pay $650-$750 three months of rental will cost you (I’m guessing/approximating) $380-$450 or so. If you buy, their resale value is good. Also, I have had two friends (and a third lined up) who I have been able to loan my snoo to, and they’re having amazing experiences too. So cost wise, i think purchasing makes more sense. 
But I am 100% satisfied and it was probably the most important baby item i owned. Anyone considering feel free to write me with questions

We have one for our 2 month old and have been using it since day one. She’s averaged 4-6 hour chunks during the night. Last night she hit 9+ hours. Honestly The Snoo is worth every damn penny.

Does anyone have advice about how many extra swaddles and sheets are needed to purchase for the SNOO?  I just purchased an extra set of each.  Will that be enough?
