Is it rude to request limited amount of toys as gifts?
Last Christmas my daughter got sooooo many toys from family. I'm super appreciative that we are blessed with family who shower my daughter with gifts for the holidays but the problem is we live in a small two bedroom apartment. My house is completely over run with toys, stuffed animals, instruments, play houses, ect... We plan on weeding out the old toys to make room for new but is it rude if I ask family members to limit their gifts to just one toy(other items are ok)? I thought maybe suggesting other items such as books, crafts and other activities, gifts cards for places my daughter loves (Build A Bear, Chuck E Cheese, maybe a trampoline place), or even making plans to spend time with her as a gift instead of toys. We also have a new baby coming in June. Family does not know yet but that also has me worried because we will be so crammed in this tiny apartment until we find a house.
