So nervous! ER tomorrow, 8 follicles at last ultrasound..

Yesterday I had my last ultrasound before my egg retrieval tomorrow morning.

The doctor saw 8 follicles he thinks will be big enough tomorrow. He was quite happy with the number, said it’s quality over quantity. I try to stay positive but can’t help but feel disappointed. I had hoped for at least 10 or more since I am only 28 and for us it’s male factor.

I’m so scared not all 8 follicles will hold eggs, some won’t fertilize or stop growing and we will be left with little to nothing..

Probably everyone going through this journey has similar fears and worries, but it would really help me if anyone has some positive experiences to share..

Did anyone end up with more follicles during egg retrieval than they originally thought there would be?

Did anyone have any success stories after retrieving 8 (or less) eggs?
