Soo.. contractions or....?

Last night me and my partner had sex for the first time in quite a few weeks. Afterwards I had a terrible nights sleep due to a lot of ‘period’ type pains they seemed to come and go and I’d nod off every so often but they’d wake me back up. Had nothing since this morning (disappointing👎) however mentioned this to a friend and she said they’ll most likely have been contractions??

Is this true? Could they have been contractions? Obviously babe is not ready to come just yet but I really wish she would x
