Husbands and OBGYN appts?

Okay ladies, who's planning on bringing their SO to the first doctors appointment? I already know my husband wants to go but what actually goes on during the first appointment? When I scheduled the appt the lady said there would be an ultrasound so I was just curious about what else happens.

I believe the first appt is important for a couple! Plus, it's normally an ultrasound an consultation, nothing big! This is our 3rd and my husband normally goes to the ultrasound appointments with me.

First appointment includes ultrasound, and general examination where culture, urine and blood is collected for early pregnancy screening.

My husband is coming for sure! With our first baby he came to every single appointment. The first one for me was an internal ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy and due date and see the heartbeat. We got a little print out of pictures she took. It was an amazing experience.

My husband came to my first appointment I was 5 weeks then. He stayed in the waiting room until we did the sonogram. Make sure you write down the questions to ask. My next appointment is at almost 10 weeks. He wants to go to all the appointments

Mine wants to come to the first appt. will see how many he goes to, but I didn't really expect him to want to come to many, but this is his baby too! He is definitely excited for first ultrasound!

My first appointment was at 6 weeks and they just did blood work, urine test, pap, and ask questions. My hubby didn't go to that, but he is going to my 8 week ultrasound one and at 10 weeks when we'll be able to hear the heart beat. :)
