Do I have a right to be mad? Read below

My SO works the evening shift and got up the same time as the baby and I. BUT , as soon as he gets up he goes to the bathroom then the living room and immediately gets on his phone going through social media and watching tv. All the while, I have to change the baby, dress the baby, cook breakfast & somewhere in there find time to dress myself because , well toddlers are a fucking handful 🤷🏼‍♀️
I just wanted to know what other SO do in the morning when not working ? I’m a sahm so I never get time to myself and it would be nice to have help if he’s home !!

More info needed.  Have you told him you need him to do this?   My husband is eager yo help but most of the time he assumes I've got it covered and that it's just easier for me since I do it most of the time.  Any time I say, "Hey, can you change this diaper?" or whatever he jumps up to help.  Maybe your husband is just blind to it.

You shouldn’t be mad unless Uve expressed ur concern and asked for help and he still isn’t contributing. Men can’t read our minds, don’t assume he knows what ur thinking or what he should//shouldn’t be doing.

My husband works 2 jobs and when hes at home gettibg what little rest he gets if I need him or if im in bathroom and kiddos crying he wakes up and attends to them untill I'm done or if im cooking or washing dishes

I’ll be honest, my fiancé helps so much with everything. I barely ever have to ask him, and if we’re going somewhere or I’m leaving the house, he knows what has to be done and either already does it or asks if he can do anything to help. Breastfeeding our little one has become a full time job, so often times he does literally everything while I’m feeding him for maximum efficiency. If your SO isn’t aware that you need help, and not one to pick up on it, I’d let him know how you’re feeling. Because I’d be pretty pissed if i was struggling with a toddler and my fiancé just sat there and relaxed lol

My partner makes a coffee and sits out the back on the phone while having a smoke and playing his phone games 🙄 I don’t mind though because he needs to relax but later during the days he helps out a lot

My husband used to work afternoon shift. I would get up with him when he first got up and let my husband sleep in a little bit longer. We both went in to wake my husband up around 9-10. He would get up, play with our son, do whatever needed to be done. I was lucky enough to have a husband who I didn’t have to ask to do things for our son or me. Based on what I’ve read on this app, my husband seems to be a rarity unfortunately

My husband sleeps so he doesn’t do anything until he goes to work, then come home, goes to sleep. He sleeps 10 hours a day, meanwhile I didn’t sleep properly 2 years since our daughter was born. It drives me nuts. No talking works so I gave up because can’t fight so much anymore in a front of toddler. He works hard in his job but he is so useless at home. I’m a sahm as well and my husband helps any time he’s home during the whole week. I’m honestly so incredibly blessed by how involved he is while he is home. Would be lost without him.
With that said, I would be a bit upset if all of a sudden he started acting like that. We give each other time each week to have some down time alone (together during nap time on the weekend. And also alone time by ourself for a longer than normal shower or coffee in peace.) have you tried talking to him about needing or wanting more support?

I don't get help with the morning rush getting myself ready for work and son for school(he is almost 3 so I know about them being crazy lol) bc my husband leaves between 3-4 every morning but he tries to do what he can the night before bc I have told him to help when he can so he will make the dogs food for the morning and have book bag and clothes waiting for me to use that morning. In my opinion I wouldn't be mad in your case bc you don't have to get dressed right away or cook right away when you get up unless you have somewhere to go so I would voice that you feel like mornings are a little stressful and I don't see why he would sit and ignore yall...maybe play with the baby while you do stuff but you have to communicate that. My husband for sure knows when I feel stressed and need help lol.
