Parents are having a crazy reaction...

INTRO: So my parents don't approve my choice of a fiance... Like at all. We are from different countries, but met in the US and know each other for 5 years (in person, not online). We are very serious about each other and are engaged. His family loves me.

I am 23 and just graduated college (no job yet) and left from the US to my country A. He works in the US but is visiting his country B, which is closer to my country than USA. We haven't seen each other for a month, so it makes sense for me to visit him in his country.

DILEMMA: My parents are totally against of me visiting him. Their reason is that he should come visit me first, but it's not possible because of Visas and limited vacations from work. I do live in their house, but the trip will be paid by him.

QUESTION: Do you think is it fine that I just leave for this trip even though my parents are totally against it? I don't want to disrespect them but at the same time I am an adult and I can go wherever I want. It just sucks that I live with them for now and I kinda feel obligated to obey them...

Please, tell me your opinion.

My flight is in two days and I am so stressed because when I'll be leaving they will make such a huge scene.....

Sad update: of course my mom made a scene and said every bad thing you can think of about me and my fiance and his family.. I had to cancel the trip. I can't fight this anymore...

She had the audacity to come to me and say that she's sorry, that she still loves me and everything will be okay. I can't talk or look at them right now. She made such a big deal out of this trip, covered myself and my fiance with dirt. And now she's sorry after she got what she wanted?? I don't believe a word! She's so manipulative it makes me sick!
