Dry itchy skin?

Ever since it’s gotten colder my 2 month old has had dry itchy skin. We showed her pediatrician who said it’s normal. She seems really bothered by it and is trying to itch it and cries more. Is anyone else experiencing this? We have just been using baby aquaphor on her but was wondering if you guys had any other recommendations?

Skip soap entirely for a while.  Baby still gets clean with plain warm water.  Unscented gentle lotion like cetaphil or aquafor immediately after.  When the itching is better, reincorporate soap once a week but make sure it’s a mild soap like cetaphil baby or Castile baby.  I stick with all unscented.  Winter can be hard on their skin and they need their natural oils to help protect it.

I would get a second opinion. Could be allergies or excema (spelling?) I’m not sure if your baby is too young but they prescribed my daughter basically Claritin daily. She would scream from being so itchy, they said she had mild excema. We only gave it to her on itchy days.
