UTI answers
I’ve seen many girls on here asking about UTIs and here’s what I’ve learned with the now 2 I’ve had this year.
Burning pee, urethra burning even when you aren’t peeing, cloudy pee, blood in urine, frequent peeing, feeling the urge rhat you need to pee but only a little comes out.
If you have a UTI your safest bet is to go to your doctor or urgent care and get antibiotics. Everyone says drink cranberry juice, use azo. You can use those. But those don’t actually get rid of the infection and left untreated it can lead to kidney infection.
When you get to urgent care they will check your vitals, have you pee in a cup, ask questions and especially if you’re sexually active, and then prescribe you an antibiotic. I am on macrobid at the moment.
What can cause UTIs?
Not peeing after sex, or even masturbation. It’s more common in females because our urethra is smaller. It is not an STD but there’s an STD with similar symptoms I guess so it’s safest to use protection all the time. Poor hygiene can cause it, dehydration and holding your pee.
I know everyone’s like “oh well if you drink water and cranberry juice and vitamin C and use Azo you’ll be fine” no that just helps the symptoms of it and really you need actual antibiotics.
I wish everyone safe sex and DONT wish this on anyone because having your urethra feel like it’s on fire all the time is not fun. If there’s blood in your pee it is immediate that you get to urgent care ASAP and I say urgent care cuz depending where you’re at going to the ER can cost way more than urgent care and also depends on insurance. I’m not an expert on this so if I got something wrong tell me but this is what I’ve experienced.
