Would seeing an endocrinologist help me?

OK I have been diagnosed with pcos by my obgyn and I'm just wanting to get a second opinion and see if they would do anything different. I'm currently on metformin. I don't have any diabetic issues just the absent or few periods. So I thought that maybe an endocrinologist would go in depth to see what's really going on.

I went to see one and really they just said have a healthy diet and lose weight. I felt overall ashamed and wasn’t prescribed anything [which I didn’t want any medicine]. She told me to try a low carb diet and she wanted to see me again in so many months, expecting me to have lost some weight. I didn’t lose the weight and I never saw her again either. I rather see my OBGYN, he’s sweet. Although no one has been able to help me manage the other symptoms such as facial hair and I have hair on my chest. Which is pretty annoying and destroys my self confidence every time I have to shave (which is daily.) but maybe you will have a different experience.

A lot of women in the pcos group I’m in on fb recommend seeing a endocrinologist! I haven’t been yet myself
