“I love you” first?

I’ve been with my man for a couple of months now and he said he loves me. I went blank and didn’t say it back. I couldn’t... I just don’t feel the same YET. 
Should I know within 3 months of being with someone if I love them? I feel weird now that I won’t say it back.

I mean, I kind of know how I feel about someone pretty quickly. Definitely within 2 months if you’re spending a lot of time together. But everyone is different. Some people just take a little bit longer to build that connection and get there. 
If you feel like your feelings for him are growing and moving in the direction of love someday, great. If you don’t feel it though and just don’t think you’ll get there, be honest with him. I think it’s better to know this stuff as early as possible in a relationship.

As long as he wasn't upset that you didn't say it back. If he was that's an issue. People fall in love at different times.

My bf didn’t say it back for the first 2 months of me saying it. Honestly, it sucked on my side. It hurt not hearing it back but I stuck working because I knew he just needed time. 
If you just need more time then it’s okay. But if you don’t think you can get there then you should tell him how you feel 🙂
