Suddenly waking up?

Question

For the past week or so my 5 month old who used to sleep through the night is waking up around 2-3 am to feed. Is this normal?
He used to go 8ish hours straight through without needing to feed.
I wake up and feed him, just don’t want to form a bad habit since he seemed to have been sleep trained.

I’m DYING. My 5 month old woke up 3 times between 730-10 last night. Then at 12, 3, and 550. It’s like he’s a newborn again! He was sleeping 7-3 then he’d eat and sleep 330-7. Daylight savings messed up his schedule but now he’s all the sudden worse. And I’m working 12h shifts today and the weekend. Kill me.

Started happening for us too and I had to add in a dream feed around 9 or 9:30 PM (he goes down at 6:30 PM) and that usually gets him through the night. But like you I also worry about creating a habit of waking up to eat. I tried giving him an extra ounce in his daytime bottles but he doesn’t want more, and doesn’t want to eat more frequently either! 😓

I totally know what you mean about not wanting to form bad habits. Our girl had been only waking once in the night and then started waking twice for about 2-3 weeks. I was getting concerned but then suddenly she stopped on her own. Now she sleeps 11-12 hours each night and if she doesn’t, we know something is going on (teething, sickness, etc.). Maybe see if it goes away on its own and if it doesn’t, you can try weaning? 🤷🏻‍♀️
