Is it normal to get sick from breastfeeding?

Update: I called the doctor and since I don't have a fever right this moment they can't really do anything, but she told me that sweats and chills are normal. I also told her my incision was hard and swollen she said just to watch overnight and as long as it's not leaking fluid its ok. Maybe I am just overreacting then!

So I had my baby on Monday and have been breastfeeding and just started pumping. I have been extremely ill with fever on and off and chills, body ache, excruciating pain in my incision followed by swelling and numbness, dizziness, all the stuff that comes w being sick. When i was recovering, the nurse said milk coming in can raise my temp a lot.

But now it has been a few days and worse, last night i was shaking so much I could not nurse my baby and my mom fed her a bottle, but i woke up in a pool of sweat and the fever broke, so I went back to pumping.

Now, earlier today I had shakes again and had a lot of trouble standing even with my pain meds (I have been walking around the past few days now I can barely move) amd every muscle in my body feels weak and tremble.

Is this normal for breastfeeding ? Will it go away if I keep breastfeeding? Id hate to stop doing it but I keep getting too sick to move and I dont want it to affect how well I can care for my baby.

Thank u in advance
