Do I have a choice??

I'll be 27 weeks in 2days, I'm scheduled for a csection at 37 weeks(February 6) & it's just hitting me that I only have 10 weeks till my baby girl will be here. My question is once baby is out via csection will they give her straight to me so she can start nursing or will they have to go clean her off and give her a bottle? I really dont want her to have a bottle, what are my options?

I'm having my 4th c section and I actually asked this question and my doc said, that as long as everything she's fine with you and the baby they will let you do skin To skin and breastfeeding since it's the golden hour.

Sounds like we have same due date, 2/26 but my c section is scheduled for 39 weeks. Can I ask how yours is 37 weeks?(only bc I wish my was lol) and if you let them know you want to breastfeed then that’s what will be done no bottle. Congratulations and well wishes!

That probably depends on your hospital. I’d ask the doctor at your next visit.

Same due dates, too! I'm having my c-section Feb 6th..I told my ob I definitely want to do skin to skin and my wishes. She agreed and said we'd do that 😁

I have the same due date also 😂 
They gave me my baby for a minute, then cleaned her off, she ate when I got to the recovery room. 😊

I think it depends on the hospital,  I gave birth through C-section and baby 1st went into cleaning of cause they should me my baby before taking her out,  while on it,  I was being stitched,  somehow we finished almost at the same time and moved to the room
