Did I cause the breakup?😔

So my boyfriend broke up with me this morning  because I couldn’t move in with him after less than a month of knowing him. I explained I couldn’t move in because I wasn’t ready Financially and we just haven’t been together that long. And moving in was a huge deal for me and I couldn’t just up and leave my parents and siblings( my parents aren’t doing great financially and I help pay the bills) He then proceeded to tell me to “make the right decision and its either me or your parents” Was I in the wrong for saying no? I personally don’t think I was, I just want y’alls opinions. He’s also 18 so idk if age has anything to do with it

You were in the right. I don’t think I’d move in with ANYONE if I hadn’t been with them for at least a year. If he were any good he’d understand and wouldn’t even be asking for you to move in so early.
