I had a retained placenta 1 day post partum (while I was at the hospital) nurse literally pulled it out of me now 10 days out and this is what has come out of me. Iv called the clinic and had an ultrasound. Any nurses or docs think this is more placenta?

It could* be but I had a lot of tissue come out after i had my son and nobody seemed concerned. It may be normal

That happens to me too but the pieces stayed in tact until 4 weeks post partum. I went to the ER and turns out my placenta that was still inside was causing my body to clot the blood that I was supposed to be discharging from post partum bleeding. The doctor said I was almost hemorrhaging due to how much blood I was losing and the size of clots he took out. Thankfully removing them removed the rest of my placenta and I’ve been normal ever since. It was the scariest thing of my life. I hope you call the doctor or if you’re that worried I’d go in and they’ll d an ultrasound to make sure it’s all been removed.

10 days post partum my milk supply also dropped drastically ( not sure if its connected)  to retained placenta

I would go get checked out to be on the safe side. I was told bleeding and tissue/blood clots were normal after giving birth but if I passed anything the size of a golf ball or larger I needed to get checked out immediately. Hope everything works out for you!
