Is this HSV?

Question

So I had some blood tests done to check for infections around 28 weeks pregnant and they said I have HSV-1 IgG+. I’ve never had a cold sore or any genital outbreaks at all. I was drying myself after the shower and felt this little bump (it’s the white pimple looking thing in the black circle) is this a herpes sore or is it just a pimple? It doesn’t really hurt unless I touch it, like a pimple.

HSV1 is pertaining to cold sores, and a huge chunk of the population would get a positive on that test because many of us have come into contact with the HSV1 virus without even knowing about it. The picture you posted is likely an ingrown hair, because if you had genital herpes and haven’t had a first outbreak- the first outbreak is going to be more extensive than 1 sore. But your positive test wasn’t for genital herpes anyhow, so I’d say you’re in the clear.
